A supermarket conservation initiative in Oldeberkoop received support from the municipality, but no funding was provided. The store had served, among other things, as a place for Alliade clients to make daily purchases. According to the healthcare organisation, the number of visitors had been declining for a long time, so the store could no longer continue its operations.
