Employers are increasingly allowing employees to choose which holidays they take off. Christmas Day or New Year’s Day can reportedly be exchanged for occasions such as carnival, Diwali or Sugar Feast.

The number of job vacancies offering a flexible holiday scheme is said to be almost six times higher than a year earlier.
