The monthly air raid siren test in Het Gooi went off two minutes late. The Gooi & Vechtstreek security region said its control room was very busy at noon, and that the test still had to be activated manually because emergency calls took priority. A malfunction had affected some siren masts the previous weekend, but the security region said that was unrelated to the delay in the test.
