Money-laundering case against Eelderwolde car-dealer brothers

Dennis B., 50, and his brother Robert B., 42, both from Eelderwolde, are suspected of helping criminals launder money through car companies in Groningen. They allegedly enabled purchases of expensive cars with cash and used lease arrangements that kept the vehicles beyond the reach of authorities.

The Public Prosecution Service sought prison sentences against the brothers. At the start of the hearing, it emerged that a settlement had been reached; the reports do not specify its terms.
