Youth care provider Modern Care in Enschede and Hengelo was declared bankrupt. The organisation ran family-replacement homes and supervised-living apartments at four locations and had been supervising 37 young people.
A later report said 35 young clients were left without accommodation following the bankruptcy, but that an initial arrangement had been made for them. Work is continuing to find a permanent solution.
