Mobility study projects longer journeys and a rise of e-bikes

A mobility study by the Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis (KiM) reported that road users should expect longer journey times in the coming years. It also found that electric bicycles are expected to overtake conventional bicycles in popularity, while increasing delays on the roads could make cycling more attractive than driving.

The findings were presented as conclusions from KiM’s mobility indicators study. No further details on the projections were provided.
