Arnhem plans to open a mobile security post in the city centre before the end of the year. The municipality said it is intended to address nuisance and insecurity, including the insecurity experienced by many women.

The exact location has not yet been decided. Mayor Ahmed Marcouch said it will be placed at a strategic hotspot, somewhere around Willemsplein, the station or the Korenmarkt, and is meant to provide a recognisable, nearby and accessible point of contact.
