Those involved said they felt the minister genuinely wanted to listen. They also expressed serious concerns about the measures, saying they had been warning about them for years.

Agriculture Minister Jaimi van Essen announced €123 million for nature restoration and measures addressing nitrogen in the Brainport region during a visit to the Green Forest near Liempde. The funding is due to be made available next year and is part of €500 million the government is providing to support major economic regions. During the visit, Van Essen released a bull in the Geeders nature reserve near Liempde in a symbolic action linked to the Green Forest approach by ARK Rewilding. The funding is intended to improve vulnerable nature areas affected by excessive nitrogen deposition.
