More than 100 reservists carried out a military exercise in Leiderdorp and Oud Ade over several days. They marched through the streets and guarded buildings as part of a simulated emergency in which the mayor of Leiderdorp fictitiously called in military assistance because local authorities could no longer cope on their own.

The commander of the reservists said the exercise had been successful and that the military had learned a great deal.
