Fourth-tier Fleetwood Town eliminated reigning English champions Arsenal in the fourth round of the League Cup after a 1-1 draw and a 5-3 penalty shootout win. Fleetwood, who are 18th in League Two, took the lead through Aaron Loupalo-Bi before Viktor Gyökeres equalised for Arsenal. Arsenal's Max Dowman was sent off before the shootout, in which Fleetwood goalkeeper Jay Lynch saved Bruno Guimarães's penalty.
