Menno Geelen will leave Ajax as managing director on 1 April 2027, following discussions with the club’s supervisory board. His contract had been due to run until June 2027. Geelen, who joined Ajax in 2010 and became general director in May 2024, said he wanted to take a next step after more than 16 years at the club.

Ajax’s supervisory board said it will seek a successor and plans to use an external agency for the recruitment and selection process.
