Former short-track skater Shinkie Knegt, 37, took part in the survival programme Expedition Robinson. He was regarded before the programme as a leading favourite to win, in part because of survival skills including making fire. Knegt said the experience on the island was harder than he had expected in an unforeseen way. He also discussed the consequences of his wood-burning accident and transition arrangements.
