Thira and Donny shared their first kiss during a game early in the new season of Love Island VIPS, after Thira was asked to kiss the islander she thought was best in bed. Donny subsequently attracted interest from both Thira and Christina, and it was reported that he appeared more interested in Thira. Christina later became emotional after a conversation with Donny, saying it had been a long time since she had been rejected. She also responded to criticism of her frequent use of English in the Dutch dating programme, explaining on TikTok that she uses both languages interchangeably and is doing her best.

Estelle was reported to have been in tears during her first speed dates in Love Island VIPS after a remark by Matthew. As a bombshell, she could get to know all the men in the villa, while Matthew expressed little hope for her romantic prospects. Matthew Jonckheere, 29, later said that his reaction to Estelle had been wrong. He said an important part of their conversation had been left out, making it appear that he had said no one in the villa suited her, and said he wanted to explain the conversation in full.
