Thousands of tonnes of steel, bolts and electrical wire are awaiting installation for TenneT’s project to upgrade the electricity grid between Rilland and Tilburg. The 80-kilometre, 380 kV connection is described as the company’s largest onshore project. The materials, including about 1,000 reels of wire—each holding four kilometres—and steel for the masts, are being kept at a secured site in Oudenbosch.
