Belgium coach Mark van Bommel named his second squad, including debutants Hugo Cuypers and Josué Kongolo, while AZ goalkeeper Jari De Busser returned. AC Milan defender Koni De Winter was absent after declining a call-up for the final Nations League group matches against Turkey and Italy.

De Winter believed he had received too little playing time during the previous international break. Van Bommel said he was unpleasantly surprised by the decision and warned that it could have long-term consequences.
