Marit Bouwmeester took part in the first The Hague marathon

Former sailor and Olympic champion Marit Bouwmeester took part in the first marathon in The Hague after initially being able to jog for only one minute. She was encouraged by her daughter Jessie-Mae and was one of the event’s ambassadors. Bouwmeester was exhausted afterwards and said the challenge had hurt her ego.

Tom Dumoulin takes part in New York Marathon

Tom Dumoulin, a 35-year-old from Limburg, was reported to have taken part in the New York Marathon among around 60,000 participants. He shared photos afterwards describing the experience positively. Former top athletes Erben Wernemars and Marit Bouwmeester also took part in the marathon in The Hague on Sunday.
