Marianne Driessen, a member of the Athena Forum, discussed what was described as a “rainbow lobby” and said that naming two sexes had become dangerous. The discussion came after a long Pride summer, amid continued political and media attention to gay acceptance.

It was also reported that acceptance of gay people among young people had declined to a worrying extent. The COC called for more campaigns and additional funding.
