Musicians Maite Hontelé and Adinda Mertins had each believed they were straight and had previously been attracted to men. They reportedly kissed one night on a bench in a park in Colombia and began a relationship.

Ten years later, they are still together and have two children. They are also releasing an album together, with Hontelé saying she could not be with someone who did not understand what she hears in music.
