Funding for Limburg infrastructure projects

The Dutch government made €18 billion available for maintenance and renewal of roads, bridges, railways and waterways, rather than the previously cited €80 billion. As a result, many planned projects in Limburg were postponed.

Funding remains available for the N296 bridge over the Juliana Canal near Roosteren and for the A73 expansion at the Zaarderheiken interchange near Venlo. Limburg also said funding was retained for the Eindhoven rail link and that it will press the government for more money for rail improvements.
