The Magnum Ice Cream Company reported higher ice-cream sales in the third quarter, saying a long, hot summer in Europe helped lift sales volumes of brands including Magnum, Cornetto and Ben & Jerry’s. It reported underlying revenue growth of 9.6%, while worldwide sales rose 12.1% to €2.5 billion. One report said demand for pistachio ice cream provided an additional boost.

The company raised its revenue-growth forecast for the full year to 5.5%.
