Young people were reportedly called on social media to riot in several Dutch cities on Saturday, with possible destruction and looting. Schools warned parents, and Maastricht and Roermond were among the cities where concerns about unrest and disturbances were raised.

Maastricht is preparing for possible disturbances. Mayor Wim Hillenaar said in an open letter to worried entrepreneurs that police and enforcement officers will be visible in the city on Saturday.
