LTO is working on a mandatory improvement plan for rabbit welfare in breeding on behalf of the rabbit sector. The plan follows images released by the action group Animal Rights that reportedly showed serious abuses at farms in Wijhe, Notter, Bentelo, Raalte and Diepenheim.
