Linda Verduin died of cervical cancer at 33

Linda Verduin died of cervical cancer on 3 June 2026 at the age of 33, according to her mother, Winnie van Zalm. She was the mother of Claire, 12, Ruben, 9, and Luuk, 2, and had been diagnosed with a four-centimetre tumour during her pregnancy with Luuk. She underwent chemotherapy and surgery while pregnant, and Luuk was born healthy in October 2024, according to her mother.

After another operation in February 2025, Verduin was told she was cancer-free, but the cancer returned two months later in an advanced form associated with HPV 18. Van Zalm said her daughter had run a beauty salon and described her as a strong and caring mother. She said the family is coping with the loss through memories and time with the grandchildren.
