Websites of various organisations in Limburg were reported to be inaccessible after serious security vulnerabilities were found in the PHP programming language. The affected sites included those of several Limburg municipalities, a hospital and the university in Maastricht.

The websites of both Limburg security regions were also taken offline. The incident was described as affecting numerous websites worldwide and as highlighting the vulnerability of internet services and organisations.
