Lauranne spoke out against using mobile phones while driving after a fatal road crash. The accident was described as avoidable, and driving while using a phone was likened to playing Russian roulette on the road.

Lauranne said she had wanted to hold Yannick’s hand and reassure him that he was not alone. The current status of any legal or other proceedings was not reported.
