Kwiek of Raalte won its first European club match, beating Bosnia’s Krajina Cazin 39-28 at Sportcentrum Tijenraan. The match was the first leg of a two-match tie. After a nervous start, Kwiek found its rhythm in the full and lively sports hall. The game was described as a contest between Krajina Cazin’s physical Balkan style and Kwiek’s fast-paced Dutch approach.
