KNVB disciplinary case involving Jhon van Beuker

Jhon van Beuker faced disciplinary proceedings at the KNVB over an alleged strike against IJsselmeervogels player Quiermo Dumay during a match between IJsselmeervogels and GVVV. He had previously been suspended for 60 days and sought acquittal, citing insufficient evidence.

The KNVB amateur football prosecutor has since sought a suspension of two and a half years for Van Beuker. The case remains subject to a decision.

2 sources

IJsselmeervogels defender Quiermo Dumay returned to football after he was struck in the jaw during the 12 September match against GVVV. The reports identified the alleged assailant as GVVV assistant coach Jhon van Beuker, though one report gave his name as Jhon Beuker. Dumay made an appearance for IJsselmeervogels the previous Saturday and then played the entire second half when the match, which had been halted in September, was completed on Tuesday. GVVV won the resumed match 3-0.
