Knowledge Café Emmen opened its new season on Wednesday with an evening about capitalism. The programme focused on “Capitalism under pressure. Time for a new course”, a lecture by Prof. Dr. Govert Buijs, who is affiliated with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The event addressed the view that Elon Musk and Bill Gates are more influential than democratically elected politicians.
