King Willem-Alexander is scheduled to visit the West Frisian village of Ursem on Friday, from about 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Residents are preparing to welcome him, including with a poster at café De Red Lion showing the king with a beer.

The visit is intended to highlight solidarity and developments in the village, including its village council, plans for a new community centre and a recreation forest. Ursem has about 3,000 inhabitants, and local organisers hope the king will leave with a positive impression of the village.
