Speed skater Jenning de Boo competed in the 1,500 metres at the Dutch club championships in Thialf, more than six months after winning two Olympic silver medals in Milan. The 22-year-old sprinter was surrounded by children seeking autographs and photographs. One report said De Boo spoke there about his summer, a trip to Wimbledon with his father and the coming season.
