Jean Mekelenkamp, 56, sees a future for his farm in Oostwold, potentially converting it from a granary into a worm farm and later an apartment complex. His plan fits a new €3 million fund intended to support the reuse of monumental farmhouses in Oldambt.

The reported plans would give the farm a new use, but no further status was provided.
