Jan (67) and Marjan (63) de Boer closed their snack bar after running it for 48 years. Their many regular customers were saddened by the farewell, while the couple said they had worked with both smiles and tears in the final weeks.

The couple were known for their homemade fries and meatballs, as well as for their personal connection with customers and their willingness to involve people in the business.
