Ireland and Israel drew 1-1 in their Nations League match in Bačka Topola, Serbia, where Ireland played its home fixture on neutral ground. Troy Parrott scored from a penalty for Ireland and Dor Perez scored for Israel. The match was played without spectators. The previous day, Ireland coach Heimir Hallgrímsson's press conference was ended early after an Israeli journalist made an accusation. A single report specified that the journalist alleged Irish players had made racist remarks about Israeli players in the previous meeting. Reports also described incidents around the match, without giving a consistent detailed account of them.
