IMCD reported higher profit and significantly improved free cash flow in the third quarter. The Rotterdam-based chemical distributor said its operating result had grown by a double-digit percentage over the first nine months of the year.

The company made one acquisition in the third quarter, which it had announced in June. It gave a positive outlook for the full year.
