Imani Igwe, 24, reportedly started a club to introduce young adults from cities to nature after seeing that they felt disconnected from what it could offer. The club organizes activities including hugging trees, picking herbs and walking through the area known as the “Dutch Sahara.” Igwe said participants often return and bring new people, and described being surprised that some could not believe they were in the Netherlands.
