ICE reports arrests over alleged election fraud as California governor issues warning

On the day of the U.S. midterm elections, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shared several posts on X about arrests for alleged election fraud. ICE claimed that several foreign nationals had been arrested for illegal voting, but it was unclear when the arrests had taken place.

California Governor Gavin Newsom warned federal agents operating in the state on behalf of President Donald Trump against illegally tampering with ballots. He said that Trump could not protect them from California’s justice system, referring to ICE’s announcement earlier that day.
