Humanitas reported that more than four in ten young people found it difficult to be honest about what they could afford. Its research indicated that nearly one in four young people presented themselves as financially better-off than they actually were.

The findings concerned young adults’ difficulties in acknowledging that they could not afford something and their worries about money.
