Christian rapper Hulvey cancelled his sold-out concert at Club Annie, the new Melkweg venue in Amsterdam, about an hour before he was due to perform. He told waiting fans they could go home and said on Instagram that explicit images and objects in the venue meant he could not perform there, particularly because some of his fans are teenagers and younger children. Hulvey said he had not been told beforehand what the venue looked like.

Melkweg said it respected Hulvey's decision and declined further comment. Hulvey said he is seeking an alternative venue in the city so that his fans can still attend a concert.
