Debbie Verheijen, 36, and her five children have been living in an emergency housing unit on the outskirts of Aarle-Rixtel for five years amid an ongoing dispute with the municipality over their home. Verheijen said she does not know when the family will have a permanent house and that the dispute keeps producing new issues. The municipality said she was responsible for the situation.
