A house on Catalonia Street in Alkmaar was hit by several bullets while residents were inside. No one was injured, although the owner was shocked and his wife was in the kitchen when the shots were fired. Several bullet holes were found in the front window, which was later taped over. Police said two people fled on a fatbike in the direction of Lombardy Road. They collected shell casings, temporarily closed the street and began a neighborhood investigation. No arrests had been made, and the reason for the shooting was unclear.
