Homeless man received dental treatment in Den Bosch

Christian, a 44-year-old homeless man, visited a mobile dental practice in Den Bosch after reportedly not seeing a dentist for at least 10 years. He said he had poorly maintained his teeth, partly because of drug use, and lacked dental insurance. Although he was afraid of the treatment, he went ahead with it after the dentist told him that multiple teeth had to be removed.

The mobile practice offers free care to homeless people four times a year at a reception centre. Dentist Steven Gevers said the patients often have complex dental problems that cannot be resolved in one appointment. Christian had several teeth extracted and left the practice after the treatment.
