Hedel held its historic horse market on Monday, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1719. The village was turned into one large trading area, where horses of various sizes and types were traded. Preparations included placing barriers, drawing cables and bringing in hay, while a veterinarian and strict rules were part of the market. Up to 1,000 horses were expected to attend.
