Hillegom’s political leadership supports continuing an arrangement with Katwijk under which Hillegom will house 24 recognised refugees for Katwijk over the next two years. In return, Katwijk will accommodate the 124 asylum seekers that Hillegom is expected to receive under the Spreading Act.

The arrangement is described as the best choice for the current situation, and the exchange is continuing.
