Journalist Hielke Bosch, 26, from Stadskanaal criticized the men of the talk show Today Inside after seeing them laugh at people with a growth disorder. He said on LinkedIn and Instagram that Johan Derksen reduced little people to sex objects.

The following day, Bosch was invited to appear as a guest on the show. He accepted the invitation and took part in the evening broadcast, where he said that people with a growth disorder were more than pornography and a circus.

DENK MP Doğukan Ergin filed a complaint against television personality Johan Derksen over remarks Derksen made on Tuesday's Today Inside during a discussion of ritual slaughter without prior stunning. Derksen said Ergin should be used as a test subject by having his throat cut to determine whether that causes pain. Derksen later responded on the programme, calling the complaint childish and saying it would be looked into. The complaint remains pending.
