Herman Sansaar, 76, from The Hague, developed a white spot near his eye about 15 years ago. He appears to have vitiligo, and a large part of the brown pigmentation on his face and head has since disappeared. He sometimes finds the changes difficult and complicated, while he and his wife Christina also enjoy the white spots in his skin. Christina jokes that he has integrated well, and says he is quite settled in.
