Hengelo has received €18.1 million for a tunnel under the railway near the FBK Stadium. The municipality says the tunnel is badly needed because the crossing has become one of the city’s largest traffic obstacles and nearby housing construction could increase pressure on the area. The tunnel is expected to be built.
