Three Helmond organisations—basketball club OEC, the local broadcaster and the guild from Mierlo-Hout—asked the municipality for more money and sought to persuade local politicians of their importance. It remained uncertain whether they would receive additional funding.

Separately, Helmond wanted to refer more vulnerable residents to social neighbourhood teams, although those teams were already overloaded and residents often faced long waits. The previous year, the city had to take over clients after the situation deteriorated; the municipality nevertheless now wants to assign the teams more tasks.
