Heineken reported that total sales volume rose 4.8% year on year in the third quarter, to 76 million hectolitres. Net revenue increased 4.6% to nearly €8.1 billion, while premium-brand volumes grew 11.5%.
The brewer said sales increased across all its markets. It attributed stronger European sales in part to favourable summer weather; premium beers including Affligem and Desperados performed particularly well. A separate report put group revenue, including brands such as Birra Moretti and Desperados, at almost €9.6 billion, up nearly 10%. New chief executive Rafael Oliveira said he is focusing on innovation to accelerate growth.
