Heijderhoeve built new pig stables without a permit during the summer, according to the account. The province and BMF reacted angrily. The farmer asked a judge for permission to make the stable wind- and watertight. Colleagues and drivers said they did not understand how this had happened, given Heijderhoeve’s reputation as a large and orderly pig farmer.
