Hans Offereins, 79, from Eemnes wanted an inexpensive car to take part in a Carbage Run. He bought a Mercury Capri convertible for €600 and drove it in the event. Twelve years later, he still enjoys the distinctive bright-blue car, which has headlights he describes as resembling those of Bassie and Adriaan.
